Product care for suede
With proper care and maintenance, suede shoes can maintain their characteristic look and durability. To protect the material from water, dirt and grime, we recommend impregnating shoes 1-2 times before use - and then regularly throughout the season.
If the suede has become smooth or shiny, gentle care can restore its original structure and appearance.
Here's how to do it:
-
Cleaning:
Gently wipe the shoe with a slightly damp cloth or sponge to remove surface dirt. Allow the suede to dry completely at room temperature - without using heat. -
Color refreshment:
If the suede appears worn or has lost color, a care product in a color that matches the shoe can be used. Then allow the material to dry thoroughly. -
Surface refreshment:
Use a suede brush to gently lift the fibers in the leather. This restores the suede's characteristic matte surface and soft texture. -
Finish with waterproofing:
When the shoe is completely dry, finish with a layer of protective waterproofing. This seals the surface and extends the life of the material.
Important:
If the shoes have been soaked, air dry them completely before wearing them again. Always avoid drying on a radiator or in a heating cabinet as heat can dry out and damage the suede.
With proper care, suede retains its elegant and natural look - while significantly extending its durability.
