Textile product care
To ensure optimal protection against water, dirt and grime, we recommend waterproofing the shoe 1-2 times before first use. Regular waterproofing - preferably at regular intervals during use - helps to preserve the properties of the material and extend the life of the shoe.
Regular cleaning is also an important part of maintenance and helps keep your shoes looking good and functional over time.
Here's how to do it:
-
Clean the surface:
Remove loose dirt with a dry, soft brush. If necessary, remove the laces and wash them in lukewarm soapy water. Velcro closures can be cleaned with a dry toothbrush to remove dirt and fibers. -
Wash gently:
If the shoe is still dirty, both the fabric and sole can be wiped with a damp cloth or sponge wrung out in mild soapy water. Let the shoes air dry at room temperature - avoid direct heat. -
Finish with waterproofing:
When the shoes are completely dry, finish the care with a layer of protective impregnation that seals the material and protects against future wear and tear.
Important:
If the shoes have gotten wet, they must dry completely before being used again. Do not place them on a radiator or in a heating cabinet as high heat can damage both materials and fit.
