Cecilie Stougaard is 35 years old and works in marketing at Danone. Together with her better half Christian, they have two children, 4-year-old Cornelius and 1-year-old Carmen. The family lives at Vesterbro, Copenhagen.
Tell us a little about yourselves and your everyday life as parents.
We are a family of four living in Vesterbro. Our everyday life can be busy at times as we both work a lot, so it matters to us to be present when we're together with our children. Our 4-year-old son has plenty of energy, so there is often a lively pace to our days. At the same day, we are beginning to see the children play more together, and it feels quite special to witness.
We're fortunate to have family and friends with children of a similar age, so dinners and social gatherings are not only reserved for the weekends, but are also a natural part of our everyday life.
What's keeping you busy these days?
Right now, our home is very much in focus, as we have just bought a new apartment and are in the process of creating a new base for our family. We spend time considering how to shape our surroundings, so they feel both safe and functional for everyday life with two young children.
At the same time, Christian and I both have hobbies that we prioritize. For me it is sewing. It brings a sense of calm and renewed energy, and something I make an effort to find time for.
What is your favourite place to go with children?
Flindt & Ørsted in Ørstedsparken is an ideal destination for families with children. The location combines a playground where children can play freely with options for adults to enjoy food, coffee and wine. The area is also known for its charming, cozy atmosphere and its excellent sun exposure throughout most of the day.
What matters most to you when choosing shoes for Cornelius and Carmen?
Comfort and fit are essential. The shoes should support their feet and allow them to move freely. Quality also matters, as the shoes need to withstand both active play and everyday use. Design is not the primary focus, but I appreciate when the shoes also have a pleasing appearance while meeting these requirements.
What does Bundgaard mean to you?
For us, Bundgaard is a brand we associate with quality, something you feel confident choosing for your children. We have had several pairs from Bundgaard that Cornelius has worn, and which Carmen now wears. I value when things can be passed on in this way. There is something quite special in knowing that the quality lasts and that the shoes can live on from one child to the next.
