Tell us a little about yourself and your everyday life as a parent.

Right now we are in a rather special phase in our family life. My husband and I are both at home on maternity leave with our youngest, who was born in May last year, our third child. This means that everyday life is full of life, but also small, quiet moments that we really try to enjoy.

The past year has been eventful. Our eldest has started school and we're in the middle of renovating our farmhouse, which we took over in late summer 2024. In other words, there's always something to do.

But being two at home gives us a special sense of peace. We share the practical things like shopping, cooking and getting the two eldest off to school and kindergarten, which makes everyday life feel more balanced. There's more energy to just be together.

What's keeping you busy these days?

Right now our garden is very much on my mind. It's as if it's waiting for us. We haven't actually had time to do anything about it since we moved in, so this summer feels like the summer of the garden.

We dream of creating a place that feels like ours, with room for both play and peace. We just got a table and bench set, which of course needs some love first. We have no shortage of projects. And then we dream of a fire pit. A place where we can gather with the kids, make pancakes and snow bread and just be together in the open air.

What matters most to you when choosing shoes for your children?

When you live in the countryside, with horses in the garden and a child in a forest kindergarten, it quickly becomes clear what works.

For me, it’s important that shoes are practical. They need to withstand a bit of everything, be water-repellent and have strong, durable soles. But aesthetics matter too. I love thoughtful colour combinations and materials that feel refined and well crafted.

The best shoes are those that can do both, be both functional and beautiful.

What does Bundgaard mean to you?

I have been and still am very enthusiastic about Bundgaard's beginner shoes. They fit so well on little feet!

I believe both my husband and I wore Bundgaard shoes as children. It makes it all feel a little more special — like a small story passed down from one generation to the next.
