Haven is a stylish and functional sandal designed especially for the older child who needs both comfort and style. This gorgeous sandal in ultra-smooth leather exudes quality and durability, and the material only gets more beautiful with time.
With both an open heel and toe, the Haven has a light and airy feel that's perfect for those hot summer days. At the same time, the open toe and heel give the feet freedom of natural movement and help the toes to spread and move freely.
The Haven is also equipped with a practical Velcro closure that allows for easy adjustment so the sandal can be precisely fitted to the child's foot. The Velcro closure ensures a firm and supportive fit, while the sandal is easy to put on and take off, making it ideal for everyday wear where the child can handle the shoe themselves.
The flat, non-sloping sole ensures that the child's foot rests in a natural position and contributes to a healthy and stable foot position. This design allows the child to move more naturally and strengthens the muscles in the feet, while the sandal sits lightly and effortlessly on the foot.
Delivery and returns
All orders placed before 2 pm on a weekday will be dispatched the same day. All orders outside Denmark are delivered by DHL within 2-5 business days, depending on your location. When your order has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail or SMS with your tracking number.
Delivery outside Denmark:
We deliver to parcel shops and make home deliveries, depending on what is possible for your location. It costs 10 EUR and you will receive a tracking number when your order is ready for dispatch.

Return & right of withdrawal
There is a 30-day full right of return on goods purchased on the website. If you wish to return your goods, this must be done no later than 30 days after the order has been delivered to a parcel shop or delivered to your address. Returned goods must be in new and unused condition. However, you have the right to try the product on at home. Goods must be returned in original packaging. Items that are returned must be accompanied by a completed return slip so that we can identify your order.
For orders delivered outside Denmark, it costs 8 EUR when using the enclosed return label.
How to return:
1/ Pack the goods in the original packaging and wrap them securely (we recommend using the bag/package that was used on delivery)
2/Fill in the attached return slip and place it in the package.
3/Attach the return label to the package and drop it off at a parcel shop.

Product care
To prevent water, dirt and grime from penetrating the smooth leather, the shoes must be impregnated 1-2 times before they are put into use. Likewise, impregnation should be applied regularly during use.
As leather is a natural material, from time to time it can be an advantage to give the shoe leather grease. Leather grease provides care and moisture to the leather, and a beautiful shine to the shoe.
Here's how you do it:
1. Start by gently wiping the shoe with a slightly damp cloth or sponge, then let the leather dry at room temperature.
2. When the shoe is dry, massage leather fat into it in circular motions with a cotton cloth. Leather grease provides care and moisture to the leather. If the shoe has partially discolored, you can dab shoe cream in the same color on the spots. Then let the shoe dry.
3. When the shoes are dry, finish with a layer of protective impregnation.
4. If the shoes have become wet, it is important that they are allowed to dry before the next use. However, never put the shoes on a radiator or in a warming cupboard, as this can dry out the leather.

LWG has created an audit standard of environmental, social and governance metrics, against which leather manufacturers are audited and certified. We are committed to crafting our shoes using top-quality materials while promoting responsible leather production. Every Bundgaard shoe is made with leather sourced from LWG-certified manufacturers, all of whom have earned a high rating in their LWG Audit.
The LWG protocol is used to evaluate the environmental impact of leather producers, Medal ratings are determined based on industry practices, with gold awarded at 85%, silver at 75%, and bronze at 65%. A minimum score is required in each section to achieve the final medal rating.
